Our Story

Centrally located on the iconic ‘Tedder Avenue’, Shuck is the Gold Coast’s signature seafood restaurant and the winner of multiple industry awards since opening in 2001. We take immense pride in sourcing the freshest local seafood and produce and our crab lasagne is world famous.

Our Shuck team prides itself on delivering all customers a most memorable food experience including sophisticated dining, group and function bookings, casual share plates, gourmet pizza’s and a wide selection of premium beer, wine and cocktails. Private catering is also available upon request for small and large functions and events.

Oysters

True to our name, Shuck sources the most sumptuous oysters that Australia has to offer. Delivered daily from producers on Kangaroo Island in South Australia, the Merimbula Lakes on the Sapphire Coast of NSW and closer to home in Moreton Bay Queensland (just to name a few), our daily oyster selection is the perfect way to start your dining experience at Shuck.

Fish

Australia has some of the finest eating fish species in the world and our menu ‘specials board’ constantly evolves to showcase our daily catch including:  northern NSW snapper, South Australian King George whiting, Tasmanian sashimi-grade salmon, east coast blue-eye trevalla and Cone Bay barramundi. And if your a lover of sashimi, Shuck’s signature sashimi plate, crafted using traditional Japanese techniques and condiments, is the best on the Gold Coast.

Shellfish & Pasta

Shellfish (aside from our oysters) play an integral role in balancing our menu. From Pan Fried King Scallops to our asian inspired Moreton Bay Bugs, to our ‘pappardelle pescatore’ (pasta with prawns, mussels & clams) and of course our world famous crab lasagne (don’t forget to order a side of fries to dunk in the exquisite abalone sauce), our Shuck menu will not fail to impress the most avid of seafood connoisseur’s.

Make sure to try our king prawn salad or our seriously addictive garlic king prawns served sizzling in virgin olive oil with crusty french bread to mop up the delicious garlic and olive oil sauce. Also, our chilli lime calamari is a customer favourite and will melt in your mouth.

Beef

For lovers of steak, Shuck sources the finest 100% grass & grain fed beef and choicest cuts including our beautifully tender eye fillet and sensationally flavoursome rib eye on the bone. Timeless classics such as steak Diane and our specialty reef and beef accompanied by a bowl of Shucks famous chips will leave your mouth watering for more.
